Attack Angle
Club °Vertical angle of club head at impact. Negative means hitting down, positive means hitting up.
Why it matters
Attack angle is a critical efficiency lever. With driver, hitting up reduces spin and optimizes launch for maximum carry. With irons, a descending blow ensures ball-first contact and proper spin for control.
How to improve
Ball position is the biggest lever — move it back in your stance for steeper attack, forward for shallower; tee height also affects driver attack angle.
